In 1952, 61,552 popular votes were made, and in 2008, 131,407 were cast. I wonder if that number will go up, since 67 million people watched the first Presidential Debate. Will those people use their right and their knowledge of our candidates and of the issues they’ve debated? Will they go cast their vote?
According to Merriam-Webster, the definition of vote is “a usually formal expression of opinion or will in response to a proposed decision; one given as an indication of approval or disapproval of a proposal, motion, or candidate for office.”
So, if you are undecided… do your research, and this November use your right to vote, and go ahead and voice your opinion. It’s not often that you get to.
